Main event day is Saturday November 9th.
The Land Ops Meetup Club will be conducting two operations for this event. One by day
and one by night. Remember; Learn by engagement. This is an off road
driving, navigation and communication exercise. Multiple teams will
drive, navigate and communicate through an unknown course specially
designed for the open Amboy Crater region. Sunday will include a trip
out to local mines and some deep inland exploration. We've also been
approved to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project. This is a very
wonderful honor and privilege to be able to contribute something to
help the men and women who served our country and paid a very high price
in doing so. Join us November 9th.
New members will be teamed up with others such that all the challenges
can be performed within the team. We do not recommend small children
attend unless an adult guardian can supervise them at your camp during
The Terrain and
This is a desert operation. The terrain includes vast open areas of
desert sand and lava rock .
This area was recommended to Land Ops Meetup Club by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management)
Needles office. Our recon last year was profitable as we discovered
a very wide open area to conduct our operations. The BLM has given us
the green light to conduct our operations in this area and recommended
a great base camp location just south of Amboy which we have already
camped in during our last recon of the area.
